Belgian University visits DHBW in Villingen-Schwenningen

The DHBW Villingen-Schwenningen sees international exchange among universities as an enrichment for both study and teaching. It provides new insights and perspectives. This was also the case during the visit of a student group from Hogeschool Gent (HOGENT) from the Belgian region of Flanders.

The 25 students and their accompanying person spent four days in the Black Forest as part of the Intensive Study Program from Monday, March 24th to Thursday, March 27th. They participated in the academic program alongside international students from DHBW VS. Nathan Keeves taught on the topic "Project Work: Product Management and Design," and in an intercultural workshop led by Stephanie Ashford, the topic was "Corporate Culture."

But that’s not all: a visit to Villingen-Schwenningen also includes getting to know the area. Through a city tour of Villingen, a visit to Meersburg and a tour of the castle, the visitors also gained insights into large companies in the region, such as the medical technology manufacturer Aesculap in Tuttlingen and the car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz in Sindelfingen.

International Week at DHBW Villingen-Schwenningen

A chance to broaden one's horizons will also be offered from May 12th to 16th. During this time, the International Office will organize the International Week under the overarching theme "Globally Connected 2025." Participants will come from 15 different countries.
