Admission requirements

Anybody who has at least six terms/semesters of tertiary studies with an academic focus on business management (e.g. business administration, business information systems or business administration and engineering) and 210 ECTS points or corresponding degree studies with above-average results (i.e. at least 2.5 or ECTS A or B classifications) can be admitted to the master’s study programme. Beyond this, admission is always an individual decision on the part of the respective academic department head. Applicants who have gained 180 ECTS points in previous bachelor studies can be admitted under the binding obligation that they obtain 30 ECTS points in adaptation courses prior to commencing the master’s study programme. Information in this respect is available from the academic department head. Further prerequisites are a minimum of one year of work experience following completion of initial studies and an employment contract in an occupation which focuses on business administration (ideally in accounting and controlling) during the study programme. This is a basis for the study agreement between the cooperating company or institution and the student.  Please refer the Articles governing Admission and Enrolment for Master’s Study Programmes (Satzung über die Zulassung und Immatrikulation für Masterstudiengänge (Lesefassung)) for the exact terms.   Please contact the academic Department Head responsible for the master’s study programme in the event of questions relating to admission, adaptation courses, etc.
