Internationalization
The Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University is international and cosmopolitan. Internationalization is an important aspect of future-oriented studies and a successful start to a career; it secures jobs and strengthens Germany's competitiveness as a business location. With over 70 active partnerships worldwide, the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University in Villingen-Schwenningen offers students a wide range of opportunities to integrate stays abroad into their studies and develop intercultural skills. In addition to established components such as semesters abroad, internships, and short programs for students, as well as projects with partner universities, the DHBW is now also beginning to offer courses taught entirely in English for international prospective students. At the DHBW Villingen-Schwenningen, the English-language course “International Business” is scheduled to start in October 2026 (more information).

Full-time international studies
Have you completed your secondary education or even a university degree abroad and would now like to complete a full degree program with us, culminating in a bachelor's degree? Starting in October 2026, we plan to launch an English-language degree program in International Business. Find out more about the structure and content of the program, as well as the application process.
International Club
The International Club consists of DHBW VS students who are interested in interacting with international students. Mostly, they have been abroad, and they enjoy organizing activities with our incoming students like pot-lucks, club nights, excursions and sports activities. It is a great opportunity to meet German students and to get "inside" information about studying here. During our orientation at the beginning of the semester, you will meet the International Club and can get in touch with them first hand, right away.
BLIC (Blended Learning International Cooperation)
The essential idea of the BLIC approach is to experience a realistic international business setting in the classroom. Students will be prepared to identify factors driving the success of international business. Based on theoretical knowledge and case studies, students will cope with international business needs and recognize the impact of cultural aspects.
