Family and Dual Career

Family and Dual Career Officer

Whether with regard to child care, the dual career or the care of dependants, reconciling family and professional life represents a major challenge for working people. The DHBW Villingen-Schwenningen has set itself the goal of improving the conditions required to achieve compatibility of career or studies and family obligations. The Family & Dual Career Officer at the DHBW Villingen-Schwenningen has been entrusted with the gathering of information on child care, educational assistance, care of dependants, etc. and making it available to staff and students at the university. In addition, she also informs (potential) staff members and their partners about the DHBW VS dual career programme which helps family members to find a job in the region. As a student counsellor, Katrin Edinger assists students when it comes to making decisions and in stressful situations. In addition, partners of new staff members at the DHBW VS can take advantage of services offered in the area of career coaching (e.g. to develop career visions), profile enhancing or preparations for job interviews.
