Auditing
Applicants for the study programme are distinguished by pronounced analytical cognitive abilities and the ability to formulate complex facts in an understandable manner. Qualities such as self-motivation and flexibility, resilience and endurance, thinking in terms of business correlations and a high degree of commitment are advantageous. The profession requires, on the one hand, a communicative demeanour and, on the other, discretion and integrity.

Contents of the study programme in brief
The Auditing study programme develops a fundamental knowledge of business in general business administration, economics, mathematics, statistics and law.
Moreover, the contents of examination regulations governing auditors (§ 4 WiPrPrüfV) characterise the study programme and constitute an integral part of lectures from the 1st to the 6th term/semester

The curriculum is compiled in coordination with the responsible chambers.
Case studies, simulations and project work supplement lectures and promote social competence, methodology and skills.
Use of the latest auditing software and cooperation with the DWS Steuerberater Online (an online resource for tax consulting) and DATEV offers students a range of modern teaching and learning methods (blended learning).
Students can avail of the Competence Centre for Auditing, a unique facility in Germany.
An international network of universities and tax consulting and auditing firms means they have the opportunity to do part of their studies abroad. English for Auditing rounds off the courses on offer in this respect.
This three-year study programme culminates in 210 ECTS points and the academic degree Bachelor of Arts.

Career following studies
Qualified training enables the graduate to take on responsible tasks in tax consulting and auditing firms.
In addition to working in tax consulting and auditing firms with an international orientation, qualification as an auditor or tax consultant also permits graduates to embrace self-employment in a vibrant and future-proof profession with an attractive income.

Internationales Vollzeitstudium
Sie haben einen Schul- oder vielleicht sogar Hochschulabschluss im Ausland erworben und möchten nun gerne bei uns ein komplettes Studium bis zum Bachelorabschluss absolvieren. Im Vollzeitstudium bieten wir keine 100% englischsprachigen Studiengänge an. Wenn Sie also gute Deutschkenntnisse haben und Ihr Abschluss anerkannt wird, können Sie unter denselben Voraussetzungen bei uns studieren, wie deutsche Schüler auch.
Teaching staff

In addition to professors of the DHBW Villingen-Schwenningen, professors from other universities as well as specially qualified experts from companies and social institutions also provide content from their area of specialization to our students. This ensures that practice-relevant know-how will be taught.
