Eduroam (for students and lecturers)
Eduroam provides WLAN access to the Global Academic Network for members of the participating universities. 500 universities in Germany are involved, with 5000 participants worldwide (including DHBW Karlsruhe, Stuttgart, Villingen-Schwenningen, HFU). Registration is possible using the login data of the home university via the WLAN of eduroam participants.
Configuration instructions
Access to the internet via eduroam:
1st step: Configure eduroam WLAN network
- Network identifier (SSID) = eduroam
- Security type/Encryption: WPA2/AES
- Authentication: EAP/PEAP and MSChapV2 (user name/password)
2nd step: Login on eduroam WLAN
- User name: d1234567h@student.dhbw-vs.de
- Password: AD password of DHBW VS
- The desired connection should be explicitly confirmed once again, depending on the equipment involved.

Student ID (students)
In addition to its identification function, the ID also has an account with a payment function. Student ID functions:
- Student ID for identification
- User ID for the library
- Use of university copying and printing equipment and payment for copies and printouts
- Payment in the refectory (Mensa) and K19
Credit can be loaded in the Mensa and K19 and on the terminals on the ground floor of Building C. Please contact the ID Department if your ID is damaged or lost.
VPN (students and lecturers)

WLAN (for students and lecturers)
All students and external lecturers are provided with secure access at all locations with encrypted data transmission to the internet via WLAN (wireless local area network). Acces for teaching staff.
