Campus AbendeThe Mindful International Manager: What You Need to Work Effectively across Cultures

25. April 2012 18 Uhr|Hörsaal Gutenberg DHBW VS

With the help of an amusing training film and insights from a wide range of research as well as Mr. Franklin's training and consultancy experience, this talk will illustrate the competencies and qualities mindful international managers ideally require to handle the complexity of the intercultural situation - and to leverage its diversity.

Participants will have the opportunity to

  • become familiar with the push and pull competencies research has shown are crucial for working effectively across cultures
  • reflect on their own international management competencies
  • gain an understanding of the concept of mindfulness as a principle of working effectively across cultures
  • discuss their won experience of effective and appropriate approaches to working across cultures.

The video-supported session will consist of a mixture of presentation and discussion; it will be both amusing and serious.
