COOPERATIVE RESEARCH

The Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University in Villingen-Schwenningen (DHBW) has established a programme of cooperative research, working jointly with its partner institutions to develop innovative concepts, strategies and technology.

The cooperative research binds DHBW with the professional and academic networks and also contributes to the creation of new ideas as a whole.  Furthermore, it provides an added emphasis on applicable-oriented values with our partners, and thus improves education through practice.

Our principle of duality is evident in the practical experience and academic knowledge of the cooperative research which sharpens the specific focus of DHBW.

Each of the two schools at DHBW Villingen-Schwenningen has developed its own research priorities.

Research Priorities of the School of Business

The dual concept at DHBW VS is designed in an applicable-oriented framework according to the Cooperative State Research and in cooperation with our dual partners.
At the School of business, there are three different Centers of Excellence for the applied research.

Research Priorities of the School of Social Science

Applicable-oriented research is an important basis for the qualified business training of the school of social science, and it pertains directly with the distinct functions of the university.  The School of Social Science is closely accredited with the research-oriented modules of the faculty and in particularly at the Bachelor thesis level.  Experience and knowledge from research projects benefit through the teachings of the students.  Professors at the DHBW VS enforce these research projects.
