We take responsibility for the theoretical and academic components of studies in this respect, while you as a corporate partner take care of practical professional qualification.
Around 1,000 companies and social service providers already cooperate extremely successfully with us. 17 study programmes are currently offered in the Business School and School of Social Work, tailored to meet the needs of our partners.
Your role in career-integrated studies
Our partners are involved in the career-integrated studies model in a variety of ways, thus ensuring the topicality of training and education in step with the requirements of business. They cooperate with the Cooperative State University in designing on-the-job training phases and realise these on site in their companies or institutions. Moreover, some corporate partners are represented on the University Council and play an active role in shaping the Cooperative State University.
Your tasks at a glance
- Selection of applicants
- Independent realisation of practical training (in coordination with DHBW locations)
- Payment of training remuneration to students
Where possible:
- Involvement in the Examining Board, taking of oral examinations
- Secondment of lecturers from your company or institution
How to become a corporate partner
Companies and social institutions who wish to cooperate with the DHBW in the qualification of their up-and-coming talent need to meet certain suitability requirements to ensure the quality of career-integrated studies in the work placement phases. These include requirements with regard to the personnel and business resources of a company or the capacity to provide the support and mentoring which they need to offer their students.

He or she will advise you on the personnel and technical requirements, the organisation and realisation of studies and all additional modalities.
Acceptance as a corporate partner requires admission (german) to the DHBW Villingen-Schwenningen and approval by the University Council.
